Taronga House.

Hawthorn, East Melbourne

In harmony with the character of the original historic home in the heart of Hawthorne East, was the creation of two double story dwellings. Retaining the classic facade and roof line was of utmost importance in preserving and protecting the architectural heritage of the area.

Beautifully balancing history and practicality, the dual residences deliver a functional family lifestyle, while offering absolute convenience in a prestigious and sought-after locale.

Incorporated into the existing building form is the rear facade and private terraces. External battens turn into privacy screens and fencing as they border the outdoor living spaces. The parallel lines of uniform width and spacing add heightened textural detail while filtering light and adding privacy.
