Maison Sans Souci.

Maison in Sans Souci, Sydney, takes a sculptural approach to contemporary duplex living. Designed by Dezcon, the project pairs strong geometric forms with softer curves to create two distinct homes within a cohesive architectural statement.

A sweeping curved upper facade gives the building its distinctive street presence, while the mirrored layout creates a sense of balance across the two dwellings.

Adding another layer of texture, Knotwood Castellated Boards feature across the facade, introducing a fine vertical pattern that complements the building’s curved forms. The battens add depth and shadow to the elevation, while their clean lines reinforce the contemporary character of the design.

The result is a duplex that moves beyond the conventional, combining sculptural form, practical planning, and considered detailing to create a strong presence on the streetscape.
