FAQs

How does the Flip Batten system differ from Clip Battens?

Flip Battens consist of two identical halves that snap together to form a complete batten. One half is fixed to the substrate, and the second half flips and clicks into the first, concealing all fixings. Clip Battens use a separate bracket and batten profile with a different fixing method.

Can Flip Battens be installed on curved surfaces?

Yes. Flip Battens are particularly suited to curved walls and columns due to their two-piece snap-together design, which allows individual placement and adjustment around curves before the second half is clicked into place.

Are Flip Battens suitable for exterior applications?

Yes. All Knotwood battens, including Flip Battens, are made from marine-grade aluminium with weather-resistant finishes, suitable for both interior and exterior use in coastal and non-coastal UK environments.

What is the standard length for Flip Battens?

Flip Battens are supplied in 5650mm lengths. Stock availability is typically 2-3 weeks from order to despatch. Made-to-order lengths are 8-20 weeks. Refer to the Specifications section for full product details.
