Sydney’s Most Talked-About Family Sanctuary

Meet the Bardwell Park Home

A striking example of contemporary Australian residential design, Project Sole demonstrates the power of considered materials and we’re proud that Knotwood Australia contributes to its calm, enduring atmosphere.

Designed by
868 Architects and brought to life by Hammercorp, this Bardwell Park sanctuary is shaped around liveability, intention and beautifully resolved detail. The Commercial Project’s production captures this with clarity and care.

From the travertine pillars to the sculpted steel roofline, the home balances softness and structure, using refined forms and layered thresholds to guide the family’s daily rhythm. Gentle curves, a central skylight and a pool integrated into the architecture create a sense of movement, openness and retreat.

Inside, tactile materials, durable finishes and bespoke detailing support a growing family. Knotwood aluminium elements – selected for their longevity, low-maintenance performance and refined aesthetic – enhance the home’s warm, textural character while complementing steel framing, bronze fixtures and expansive glazing.

Landscaping and architecture work effortlessly together to form spaces for connection as well as quiet moments. With lush planting, sunlit courtyards and a pool that anchors the home both socially and visually, Project Sole delivers the year-round sanctuary the clients envisioned, a home that transcends trends and celebrates timeless materiality.

Thank you to The Commercial Project for the exceptional production, and congratulations to 868 Architects and Hammercorp on a beautifully resolved home.
