Mira.

Mira is a new residential development in Bellevue Hill, Sydney, designed by PBD Architects. The project combines a series of residences with landscaped outdoor areas and sculptural planter boxes that give the façade a distinctive Art Deco influence. The curved forms and layered landscaping create a strong connection between the architecture and its garden setting.

Knotwood Nordic Oak was used across the soffits, introducing a natural timber element to the façade when viewed from below. The timber tones complement the building’s curved forms and the lush, Mediterranean-inspired landscaping by Myles Baldwin Design.

Mira shows how Knotwood can be used beyond traditional wall cladding. Here, the soffit battens add another material layer to the architecture, complementing the concrete, curved forms and planting throughout the development.
