Maison.

Conceived around the French word for home, Maison’s architecture is defined by a series of floating disks, with curved forms rendered in plank-form concrete that stack gracefully above the New Farm streetscape.

Each of the five boutique sky-homes is oriented to capture abundant natural light and sweeping views, while the single-residence-per-floor design allows for natural cross-ventilation and considered solar control.

Enveloping every level, a signature landscape veil of bespoke curved planter boxes drapes the façade in lush, cascading greenery. The planting softens the building’s sculptural form and creates a living connection between the residences and the leafy New Farm setting.

Warm natural finishes complement the concrete and greenery, including Knotwood’s Nordic Oak timber-look aluminium, used across the soffits. The timber tones introduce texture and warmth while complementing the building’s organic curves and layered landscape.

The result is a distinctive residential building that feels less like an object placed within the streetscape and more like a living part of it, a façade that gives as much to the street as it does to the residents within.
