We offer a variety of bracket sizes and a wide range of clip-on profile from square to angular allowing you to create a look that’s uniquely yours. Additionally, our joiners enable increased depth and the flexibility to combine different batten styles together. Part of Knotwood's aluminium battens range, Clip Battens are designed for exterior facades on both residential and commercial projects.

How does the Clip Battens system work?

Knotwood Clip Battens use a two-part system. The bracket is fixed to the substrate first, then the batten clips onto the bracket to conceal all fixings for a clean, seamless finish.

Can the spacing between Clip Battens be adjusted?

Yes. Batten spacing is fully adjustable, and battens can be installed at multiple angles including 0°, 45°, 90°, and 135° using Knotwood’s octagonal clip head mounting system.

Are Clip Battens non-combustible and suitable for fire-prone areas?

Yes. Knotwood Clip Battens are non-combustible and tested to AS/NZS 1530.1 and AS/NZS 1530.3, including compliance with AS/NZS 3959 for building construction in bush fire zones.

Are Clip Battens suitable for coastal environments?

Yes. Clip Battens are sea salt and spray tested, and cyclone impact tested, making them suitable for coastal and high wind load environments across Australia.

How do I maintain Clip Battens?

Periodic washing with a soft broom and pH-neutral detergent is all that is required. No painting, sealing, or specialist treatments are needed.
